Role &Responsibilities

As a SeniorSoftwareDeveloperSpecialist, your responsibilitieswill be to contribute to the softwareand infrastructural enhancements of the covered applications.

• You will also provide monitoring, answer support calls,and help resolve production issues for these applications during the US night hours.In this role,you will facilitatecollaboration between software development and IT operations teams to streamline software delivery and infrastructure changes.
• Critical competencies will include software development, building microservices, RESTful API,and browser-based user interfaces. Requiredcompetencies will also include automation tools, cloud services, software development practices, and system administration techniques, ensuring efficient and reliable operation of modern IT environments.
• Besides working closely with your colleagues inMumbai you will also work closely with Nasdaq teams in other countries.

We expect you to have:(Minimum Qualifications)

• At least 7 years of experience as a Software Developmentengineer.
• Proficiencyin programming languages, such as Java, Kotlin, Python, HTML, React JS,SQL, and Javaisa must-have.
• Experience with Spring, Spring boot, Kafka, RESTful web-services and Microservices, relational database.
• Containers expertise(Docker and Kubernetes).
• AWS experience.
• DevOps Experience building and supporting infrastructure, deployment automation.
• Terraform expertise.
• CI/CD pipeline experience.
• Basic SQL knowledge.
• Proficiencywith Linux commands and utilities including Bash scripting.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills that enable you to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues.
• Good communicationand collaboration skills that enable you to work well with developers, stakeholders, and users.
• Passion for learning new technologiesand staying updated with industry trends that help you improve your skills and knowledge.
• Creativity and innovation in creating solutions that meet user needs and expectations and deliver value to the business.
• Attention to detail and quality assurance to ensure your software products are of high quality and meet the standards and requirements.
• Adaptability and flexibility to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment and cope with changing priorities and deadlines.
• A genuine interest in the financial industryand learning about the markets, products, and services that Nasdaq offers.
• Education Qualification: Degree qualified in a discipline related to Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent work experience.

• Knowledge of Equities trading

• Experience with real-time, high-throughput applications.

• Understandingdata lakes and data-warehousing.

• Build tools: Maven and Git.

• Java Frameworks (Keycloak, OpenSearch).

• JSON.

• Web securityskills: SAML, encryption, certificates, and webattack protection.

• JUnit, automated testingand test-driven development experience.
