Senior Taxation Specialist

The Senior Taxation Specialist at Nawy Real Estate is responsible for managing complex tax matters, ensuring compliance with tax regulations, and supporting tax planning initiatives. This role involves detailed tax research, preparing tax returns, and advising management on tax-related strategies to optimize the company's tax position.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare, review, and file federal, state, and local tax returns accurately and on time.
• Conduct in-depth tax research to stay updated on changes in tax laws and assess their impact on the organization.
• Assist in developing tax strategies to minimize tax liabilities and improve financial efficiency.
• Collaborate with finance and accounting teams to ensure accurate tax accounting and reporting.
• Respond to tax authority inquiries and assist during tax audits.
• Maintain comprehensive tax documentation and records.
• Provide guidance and training to junior tax staff as needed.
• Support the Senior Taxation Manager in various tax projects and initiatives.

Requirements

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
• 3-5 years of experience in tax accounting or tax compliance roles.
• Strong knowledge of tax laws, regulations, and accounting principles affecting the real estate industry.
• Excellent analytical and research skills.
• Proficiency with tax software and Microsoft Excel.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
