Business Solutions Consultant (P4) - Operational Excellence and Business Solutions

The National Bank of Iraq is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Solutions Consultant to support the continuous enhancement of business operations, process efficiency, and system effectiveness across the organization.

This role serves as a key liaison between business stakeholders and technology teams, ensuring that business requirements are translated into effective, scalable, and sustainable solutions. The successful candidate will play a critical role in process optimization, operational transformation, and the alignment of business initiatives with the Bank’s strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Business Process Analysis & Improvement

• Analyze existing business processes and identify opportunities for improvement, automation, and operational efficiency.
• Collaborate with business units and process owners to redesign and optimize workflows using business process management methodologies.
• Ensure adherence to industry best practices, internal standards, and regulatory requirements.

Solution Design & Business Analysis

• Gather, analyze, and document business requirements for new initiatives and system enhancements.
• Develop business requirement documents (BRDs), functional specifications, and process documentation.
• Conduct feasibility studies and impact assessments to support decision-making and project prioritization.

Systems & Operational Excellence

• Ensure proposed solutions align with existing banking platforms and enterprise systems, including Temenos Core Banking, BPM, and Document Management Systems.
• Support the successful implementation of system enhancements while minimizing unnecessary customization.
• Facilitate collaboration between business and technology teams throughout the project lifecycle.

Stakeholder Management

• Build strong working relationships with business leaders, operations teams, technology teams, and external vendors.
• Provide regular updates on project progress, risks, challenges, and key achievements.
• Facilitate cross-functional discussions to ensure alignment and successful execution of initiatives.

Governance, Risk & Compliance

• Identify operational risks associated with business processes and recommend appropriate mitigation measures.
• Ensure all process improvement initiatives and system changes comply with banking regulations and internal policies.

Performance Monitoring & Reporting

• Develop and maintain reports and dashboards to monitor process performance and operational efficiency.
• Provide management with insights and recommendations to support continuous improvement initiatives.

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
