A fantastic opportunity has presented itself for a Regional Development and Engagement Manager reporting to Head of NBN Local.

A bit about your role

The Regional Development and Engagement Manager is responsible for building strong relationships across community, business, government and stakeholder groups within a defined region to improve digital capability, drive participation in nbn programs, and enhance nbn’s reputation. The role develops and delivers regional engagement strategies, identifies opportunities for economic and social impact, gathers and shares regional insights to influence nbn initiatives, supports emergency management and community resilience activities, and acts as the voice of the customer within nbn. Working closely with both internal and external stakeholders, the RDEM also advocates for regional needs, helps resolve local issues, and promotes a strong safety-first culture while supporting operational and commercial outcomes.

A bit about you

The ideal candidate brings strong expertise in stakeholder engagement, relationship management, and business development, with the ability to influence, negotiate, and communicate effectively across community, business, government, and industry audiences. They are skilled at building collaborative relationships, aligning cross-functional teams, and delivering community engagement outcomes through a range of engagement approaches and forums.

The role requires strong project coordination, customer focus, initiative, resilience, and the ability to balance competing priorities while working both autonomously and within a large matrix organisation. Familiarity with telecommunications industry developments, a commitment to safety, and a valid Australian driver's licence are also required.
