Software Engineer

Summary:

NCR is looking for a highly talented Software Engineer for the Cinema team. You will be responsible for the design and development of scalable and high-performing web/desktop applications and services using a deep understanding of the business logic of complex systems in an Agile environment.

Details:

Primary responsibility is to ensure high-quality software solutions as a contributing member of a highly motivated team of engineers. This individual will serve in a full-stack software engineer role on an Agile team. Tech stack: C#, Electron, ReactJS, HTML5/CSS3, Native JavaScript, Web Services, Azure, and SQL.

Role is for a customer-dedicated team with ambitious goals. We are looking for a motivated and skilled individual who:

• Analyzes, designs, and develops high-quality software which meets requirements, promotes re-use of software components, and facilitates ease of support; possesses good understanding of design patterns
• Proactively identifies and implements process, best practices, and tool improvements to improve quality and performance
• Designs and documents products/systems or baseline processes
• Has the ability to drive issues to effective resolution and to find solutions to challenging, time-critical problems
• Exhibits very high personal commitment to quality, software engineering best practices, and protection of sensitive consumer information
• Has a strong desire for quality and an attention to detail; determined to write high-quality, easy-to-maintain code
• Enjoys the challenge of solving complex problems in tight timeframes
• Stays current with technologies and learns new technologies, processes, and trends
• Is able to convey technical concepts to non-technical audiences
• Has the ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment

REQUIRED TECHNICAL QUALIFICATIONS:

• Proficient in Electron, ReactJS, Redux
• Experience in C#.Net and multithreading
• Experience in SQL Server database design and creation of complex SQL queries, stored procedures, triggers, and performance optimization
• Proficient in API and web service development

• Strong interpersonal skills (communication with other team members and customers)
• Strong analytical skills
• Passion for technology, quality, and user experience
• Understanding of Agile and Scrum

OTHER BENEFICIAL SKILLS:

• Knowledge in BackboneJS, Delphi
• Understanding of Continuous Integration and Delivery practices
• Knowledge in Azure, Jenkins
• Knowledge of computer networking, TCP/IP socket-level communications
• Familiar with JIRA or similar issue management and tracking systems
• Knowledge of source control tools (TFS, Git)
