Responsibilities

To support the Strategic Manager (Network Operations and Resilience) and deputise as necessary, in the overall management of the South Wales Trunk Road Agent, with specific responsibility for Network Management.

With demonstrable operational management experience at a senior level, you will be an Accountable Manager and member of the SWTRA Senior Management team, providing leadership, direction and operational management to the Network Management team in achieving its delivery objectives.

To be responsible for the promotion, development and effective performance of the agent in the provision of a broad portfolio high quality network management services to ensure that the Strategic Road Network in South Wales is able to support the travelling public moving safely and to provide reliable journey times.

Services within Network Management for which you will be operationally managing to include:

* Incident Management

* Resilience Planning/ Civil Contingencies Act

*Tunnel Management

*Winter and Adverse weather planning

*Climate adaptation planning

*Road Space Coordination and Major Event planning & management

*New Roads and Street works management

*Abnormal Loads routing

*Welsh Government Traffic Officer Service

*Traffic Management Centre Control Room Service

Salary: Total Reward Package starting from £66,294*

Starting Salary: £57,497 - rising to £60,025.

*(Subject to being a member of the local pension scheme.
