Senior Software Engineer (Virtualization & Cloud)

Job Requirements:

• Create detailed designs and implement major management components for disaster recovery control plane software.
• Work closely with back-end developers, front-end developers, and the QA team to deliver world-class products on schedule.
• Hands-on coding, both developing and extending RESTful APIs and writing client-side code which interacts with other APIs (RESTful and SDKs).
• Design, develop, and maintain backend software, including enhancements, bug fixes, and POCs.
• Develop complex orchestration capabilities to configure and manage VMware vSphere entities, including VM, Host, Cluster, etc. for disaster recovery.
• Design, develop, and implement unit and scenario testing for the existing code base and for new functionality under development.
• Ensure code quality, troubleshoot bugs, automate processes, and participate in and lead code reviews.

Minimum Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.
• 6+ years of experience in development with Java/J2EE software development and web technologies.
• 4+ years in developing management software for VMware vSphere environment and cloud technologies.
• Experience developing Java RESTful web applications, database, JPA, and Hibernate frameworks.
• Experience with cloud storage like Amazon S3, Azure SDK, and Google Cloud is preferred.
• Proven track record of working on complex projects and delivering products on schedule.
• Experience working with geographically distributed teams.
• Excellent testing and debugging skills.

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field with a minimum of 6-12 years of related experience.
