Cybersecurity Engineer

We are currently building our IT talent database and are looking to connect with experienced Cybersecurity Engineers and SOC Analysts for current and future opportunities. We are particularly interested in professionals with experience in security monitoring, incident investigation, SIEM, EDR/XDR, threat detection and incident response. Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor security alerts and investigate suspicious endpoint, network and identity activity.
• Analyse security telemetry, indicators of compromise and potential incidents.
• Support incident response, containment, remediation and post-incident reporting.
• Improve detection rules, security use cases and monitoring processes in collaboration with security teams.

Job Experience & Skills Required / Ideal Candidate Profile:

Education

• A degree, diploma or equivalent qualification in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field is advantageous.
• Relevant security certifications such as Security+, CySA+, SC-200 or equivalent will be advantageous.
• Threat intelligence, incident response or digital forensics training will be beneficial.
• Additional information security qualifications are an advantage.

Experience

• Typically 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity, SOC operations, incident response or a related security role.
• Hands-on experience with SIEM and/or EDR/XDR platforms.
• Experience investigating alerts, analysing logs and responding to security incidents.
• Threat hunting, MITRE ATT&CK, detection engineering or cloud security experience will be highly advantageous.

Skills

• Security monitoring, threat detection and incident investigation.
• SIEM, EDR/XDR and security telemetry analysis.
• Incident response, IOC/TTP analysis and MITRE ATT&CK.
• Clear incident documentation, analytical thinking and collaboration.
