Accountant / Bookkeeper

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing reconciliations, supporting month-end processes, and ensuring statutory compliance. If you're looking for a role where you can take ownership and add value, this could be the perfect opportunity.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the full bookkeeping function up to Trial Balance.
• Process accounts payable, accounts receivable, journals, and accruals.
• Perform bank, supplier, and general ledger reconciliations.
• Assist with month-end reporting and financial administration.
• Prepare and submit VAT returns.
• Maintain fixed asset registers and depreciation schedules.
• Support budgeting, cash flow management, and audit requirements.
• Ensure compliance with financial policies and statutory requirements

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 3-5 years' accounting or bookkeeping experience.
• Proven experience managing the full bookkeeping function up to Trial Balance.
• Strong knowledge of VAT, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Experience on Syspro or a similar ERP system.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Experience within the engineering, manufacturing, or construction industry will be advantageous.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
