Finance Manager

This role is ideally suited to a qualified CA(SA) or ACMA/CGMA professional who enjoys being involved in both the strategic and operational aspects of finance within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the end-to-end finance function and financial management of the business.
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting in accordance with IFRS.
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, and cash flow management processes.
- Drive month-end close procedures and deliver accurate management accounts.
- Perform detailed variance analysis and provide meaningful insights to management.
- Partner closely with operations, supply chain, procurement, and commercial teams.
- Oversee product costing, inventory control, and bill of materials accuracy.
- Analyze profitability across products, customers, regions, and channels.
- Manage statutory compliance, tax submissions, audits, and governance requirements.
- Monitor working capital, cash flow, and foreign exchange exposure.
- Drive process improvement initiatives, automation projects, and reporting enhancements.
- Strengthen financial controls, risk management frameworks, and audit outcomes.
- Support strategic decision-making through financial modelling and business analysis.
- Qualified CA(SA) OR ACMA/CGMA qualification is non-negotiable.
- Previous experience within a manufacturing environment is essential.
- Proven experience in a Financial Manager or Senior Finance leadership role.
- Strong management accounting and costing experience.
- Solid understanding of IFRS and financial reporting.
- Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Syspro, Sage, or similar.
- Advanced Excel skills with strong financial modelling capability.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong commercial acumen and operational finance exposure.
- High attention to detail with excellent communication skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and demanding environment.
- Own reliable transport.
