Key Responsibilities

  • Manage mechanical engineering projects throughout the full project lifecycle.
  • Coordinate design, procurement, fabrication, installation, and commissioning activities.
  • Develop and review technical specifications, drawings, and engineering documentation.
  • Manage contractors, suppliers, and site-based activities.
  • Monitor project schedules, budgets, and deliverables.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and industry standards.
  • Liaise with clients and internal stakeholders to ensure successful project execution.
  • Provide technical support during plant commissioning and start-up.

Minimum Requirements

  • BEng/BSc Mechanical Engineering.
  • Minimum 5 years' project engineering experience within mining, mineral processing, EPC, EPCM, or heavy industrial environments.
  • Proven experience delivering projects from design through to commissioning.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical plant equipment and associated systems.
  • Excellent project management and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel to site when required.

Preferred Requirements

  • PrEng registration with ECSA.
  • Experience within mineral processing plants.
  • Exposure to CAPEX, brownfield, and greenfield projects.
  • Experience with pumps, conveyors, crushers, piping, tanks, and bulk materials handling systems.
  • Project Management qualification advantageous.
