Production Accountant

• Perform daily weighbridge, dispatch, and cost of sales reconciliations
• Complete monthly balance sheet reconciliations and maintain strong internal controls
• Prepare weekly and monthly management reports
• Conduct variance analysis and provide commentary on operational performance
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes
• Monitor and report on manufacturing costs and cost centre performance
• Ensure accurate inventory accounting, cycle counts, and month-end stock counts
• Investigate and report stock variances and discrepancies
• Process journals, fixed assets, and stock transactions within SAP
• Ensure compliance with IFRS and VAT legislation
• Partner with production and engineering teams to improve financial performance
• Lead and participate in performance review meetings with operational stakeholders

Qualifications & Skills:

• BCom Degree in Accounting and Finance or equivalent qualification
• Minimum 5 years' full accounting and reporting experience
• 3 to 5 years' experience within a manufacturing environment
• Experience within a mill, plant, factory, FMCG, or industrial manufacturing environment is non-negotiable
• Advanced SAP experience essential
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Strong management accounting and cost accounting experience
• Proven experience with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and VAT requirements
• Inventory and stock control experience essential
