Minimum Requirements

Minimum 5 years' technical sales experience within the lighting, electrical, infrastructure, or related industry.
Proven track record of selling products or solutions into government and municipal sectors.
Existing relationships with key stakeholders within municipalities, public works departments, SOEs, consulting engineers, and contractors.
Strong understanding of government procurement and tender processes.
Working knowledge of CSD registrations and tender compliance requirements.
Exposure to CIDB contractors and infrastructure projects.
Ability to identify, pursue, and secure tender and project opportunities.
Valid driver's licence and own reliable transport.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and grow business within municipalities, government departments, and state-owned entities.
Build and maintain relationships with decision-makers, procurement officials, engineers, consultants, and contractors.
Identify upcoming tenders and project opportunities.
Promote and secure specification of lighting solutions on projects.
Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation to project completion.
Conduct technical product presentations and solution-selling activities.
Monitor competitor activity and market developments.
Achieve and exceed agreed sales targets.

The ideal candidate will have a proven history of generating business within the public sector and a solid understanding of the government procurement landscape.
