Treasury Specialist

This role is based in Midrand.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage daily treasury activities, ensuring optimal cash and liquidity management across the business.
• Prepare and maintain accurate cash flow forecasts to support operational and strategic decision-making.
• Monitor cash positions and ensure sufficient funding is available to meet operational and capital expenditure requirements.
• Execute and manage treasury transactions including foreign exchange, loans, deposits, and hedging activities.
• Oversee letters of credit, bank guarantees, and related banking instruments.
• Manage exchange control applications, renewals, and compliance requirements across relevant jurisdictions.
• Prepare treasury reports, including debt, foreign currency, and liquidity reporting.
• Support month-end treasury accounting and reporting processes.
• Develop, maintain, and enhance treasury policies, procedures, controls, and governance frameworks.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with banking partners and key internal stakeholders.
• Collaborate with finance, accounting, and operational teams across multiple countries.
• Support treasury transformation and digitisation initiatives, including treasury management systems and process automation projects.
• Liaise with internal and external auditors and ensure compliance with regulatory and internal control requirements.

Job Experience and Skills Required

• BCom Accounting Degree (Honours advantageous).
• Minimum 5 years' treasury experience within a multinational or international organisation.
• Experience working across African markets and dealing with multiple banking jurisdictions.
• Sound understanding of finance and accounting principles, including IFRS.
• ERP system experience, preferably SAP.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Treasury Management System experience, particularly Kyriba, will be advantageous.
