SUMMARY:
A specialised multidisciplinary engineering organisation requires a Mid-Level Mechanical Engineer to support the mechanical engineering function supporting complex chemical and high-hazard plant projects.
POSITION INFO:
Key Responsibilities Design and specify mechanical equipment and plant systems Prepare calculations, data sheets, equipment specifications and technical reports Develop equipment layouts and coordinate mechanical interfaces Review supplier proposals, drawings and technical documentation Support pressure equipment, tanks, fans, rotating equipment and material-handling systems Participate in design and constructability reviews Coordinate with process, piping, civil, structural and EC&I teams Support fabrication, installation, testing and commissioning Resolve site queries and update engineering documentation Minimum Requirements BEng, BSc or BTech in Mechanical Engineering 3 to 8 years of mechanical, project or plant engineering experience Experience with industrial equipment specifications and technical drawings Exposure to procurement, fabrication or commissioning Strong multidisciplinary coordination skills Advantageous ECSA registration as a Pr Eng Energetic materials, propellants, explosives or batch chemical processing EPC, technology-commercialisation or specialised plant experience International project experience For more information, contact: Siphelele Mzongwana Recruitment Consultant ð§ ð If you have not received a response within two weeks, please consider your application unsuccessful.
