An established company within the mining and mineral processing sector is seeking a commercially minded Process Engineer to join their growing team in Johannesburg, Gauteng. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with clients, develop technical process solutions, prepare winning proposals, and support projects through to commissioning and start-up. Duties & Responsibilities

Minimum Requirements

• BEng in Chemical Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in:
  • Process Design
  • Proposals Engineering
  • Technical Sales
  • Mining or Mineral Processing environments.
• Strong understanding of:
  • Process Engineering principles
  • Mineral processing operations
  • Process flow diagrams (PFDs)
  • Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs).
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Valid driver's liscence and own vehicle.
• Willingness to travel to mining operations and project sites.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate client enquiries and assess technical feasibility.
• Prepare detailed commercial tenders and technical proposals in response to client requirements.
• Develop process flow diagrams and instrumentation documentation from laboratory through to plant-scale applications.
• Perform process calculations and equipment sizing for mineral processing applications.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and industry stakeholders.
• Provide technical clarification, manage design revisions, and support negotiations during the tender process.
• Facilitate project handovers to project execution and engineering teams.
• Participate in commissioning activities, plant start-ups, and process troubleshooting.
