Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems and microservices Architect secure, reliable, and high-performance APIs Build and support distributed systems and stateless architectures Develop event-driven solutions and integrations using streaming technologies Design cloud-native applications and containerised services Work with relational and non-relational databases to support large-scale applications Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to solve complex technical challenges Participate in architecture discussions, code reviews, and technical design sessions Optimise application performance, scalability, and reliability Contribute to continuous improvement and engineering best practices Job Experience and Skills Required: Education: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience) Experience: Minimum 5 years' software development experience Strong experience in Python development Experience building and supporting large-scale backend applications Experience developing distributed systems and stateless architectures Technical Skills: Python Unix\/Linux environments API design and development Distributed systems architecture Event-driven architecture and event streaming Relational and non-relational databases Cloud-native application development Containerisation technologies Advantageous: AWS cloud technologies Docker and Kubernetes Kafka Git version control PostgreSQL DynamoDB ElasticSearch Redis Additional Requirements: Strong understanding of Computer Science fundamentals Deep knowledge of object-oriented programming principles Solid understanding of algorithms and data structures Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking skills Passion for writing clean, maintainable, and scalable code Excellent communication and collaboration skills Apply now!
