Newell Brands is a leading consumer products company with a portfolio of iconic brands like Graco®, Coleman®, Oster®, Rubbermaid®, Sharpie® and Yankee Candle® - and 24,000 talented teammates around the world. Our culture is built on values in action: Integrity, Teamwork, Passion for Winning, Ownership, and Leadership. We work together to win, grow, and make a real impact-supported by a high-performing, inclusive, and collaborative environment where you can be your best, every day.

The Product Manager, Commercial Acceleration will support, shape, and deliver initiatives that use AI and emerging technology to accelerate how Newell creates and optimizes content, commercializes products, and engages consumers.

This role operates at the intersection of Marketing strategy, AI, and enterprise technology. The Product Manager will work closely with IT and enterprise platform owners to leverage existing capabilities, apply approved solutions where they add value, and ensure assigned initiatives are scalable, connected, and executed in alignment with established technology and business roadmaps.

The Product Manager will serve as a key day-to-day partner to Marketing teams, gathering requirements and translating defined business needs into actionable product initiatives. In partnership with the Senior Manager, Product, they will support prioritization, maintain stakeholder alignment, coordinate cross-functional dependencies, and drive assigned initiatives from requirements through delivery.

A core focus will be connecting Newell’s foundational enterprise capabilities with the speed, flexibility, and advanced output of custom AI solutions. Areas of focus include content acceleration, new item setup and commercialization, first-party data activation, agentic commerce, media, and cross-marketing initiatives.

This is a highly collaborative, hands-on role requiring strong product judgment, technical curiosity, stakeholder collaboration, and the ability to turn defined opportunities into delivered, scalable business capabilities.

Responsibilities

Opportunity Intake & Discovery

  • Support the intake and shaping of new AI and digital opportunities with Marketing and cross-functional partners, helping identify where technology can unlock growth, speed, efficiency, or new capabilities.
  • Facilitate discovery sessions to translate business opportunities and ideas into clear problem statements, requirements, desired outcomes, and executable initiatives.
  • Serve as a product liaison across business and technology teams, helping stakeholders understand how enterprise capabilities and emerging AI solutions can work together.
  • Partner closely with enterprise platform owners to understand existing capabilities, assess feasibility, define integration needs, and follow a scalable path to execution.
  • Build working-team alignment, partnering with the Senior Manager, Product where broader organizational alignment is needed, resolve dependencies, and maintain momentum across assigned cross-functional initiatives.
  • Maintain a visible intake funnel so stakeholders understand priorities, status, decisions, and next steps.

Content, Commerce & Marketing Acceleration

  • Deliver initiatives that accelerate the creation, enrichment, and activation of product and marketing content, including copy, imagery, video, product data, digital assets, and channel-specific experiences.
  • Support new item setup and commercialization, laying a strong foundation for how our enterprise systems, AI tools and working teams should operate.
  • Help identify opportunities to activate first-party data across personalization, content, media, consumer engagement, and commerce experiences.
  • Support Newell’s approach to agentic commerce and AI-driven product discovery, ensuring product data, content, and commerce capabilities are prepared for emerging consumer and shopping experiences.
  • Partner with Brand, Media, and eCommerce teams on initiatives spanning creative acceleration, audience activation, personalization, measurement, and emerging AI-enabled capabilities.
  • Connect existing enterprise platforms with custom AI solutions where greater speed, intelligence, automation, or quality can create incremental business value.

Product Delivery & Execution

  • Maintain the delivery roadmap for assigned initiatives across content acceleration, commercialization, media, first-party data, commerce, and emerging AI opportunities.
  • Recommend prioritization of initiatives, in partnership with the Senior Manager, Product, based on business value, strategic alignment, technical feasibility, enterprise connectivity, scalability, and speed to value.
  • Translate opportunities into clear requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and sprint-ready work.
  • Own backlog hygiene and JIRA sprint operations, lead working-team ceremonies, and actively manage dependencies and blockers.
  • Coordinate testing and iterative stakeholder feedback to ensure solutions are validated before launch.
  • Surface trade-offs and escalate decisions to the Senior Manager, Product when capacity, dependencies, or competing priorities require alignment.

Stakeholder Partnership & Activation

  • Act as the connective tissue between Marketing, IT, and external technology partners.
  • Build alignment with Marketing and IT stakeholders around initiative scope, priorities, dependencies, and expected business outcomes.
  • Collaborate across organizational boundaries without direct authority, partnering with the Senior Manager, Product to bring together the teams and capabilities required to move assigned initiatives forward.
  • Run regular product updates communicating active initiatives, progress, decisions, timing, and upcoming opportunities.
  • Coordinate launches, adoption, training, and change management for new capabilities.
  • Help successful experiments move from pilot to connected, repeatable, and scalable enterprise capabilities.
  • Support appropriate security, privacy, legal, responsible AI, architecture, and enterprise governance requirements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of product management, digital product, eCommerce, marketing technology, or related experience, with exposure to AI and emerging technologies.
  • Demonstrated ability to shape defined product opportunities, build business and technical alignment, and move initiatives from requirements through delivery.
  • Experience partnering with business stakeholders and enterprise IT teams, with the ability to support prioritization, gain buy-in, and navigate cross-functional dependencies.
  • Experience working with enterprise technology teams on integrations, data, platforms, APIs, architecture, or other dependencies required to deliver connected digital products.
  • Experience with digital content, product information, creative, eCommerce, first-party data, media, or marketing technology ecosystems.
  • Familiarity with platforms such as Adobe Experience Cloud / Creative Cloud, Salsify, Stibo Systems, CommerceIQ, Runway, or comparable PIM/PXM, DAM, content, digital shelf, commerce intelligence, media, and generative creative platforms.
  • Understanding of new item commercialization, content syndication, first-party data activation, digital media, and emerging agentic commerce experiences.
  • Familiarity with generative AI, LLMs, agents, automation, APIs, and custom AI solutions, with the ability to identify where they can complement and extend enterprise capabilities.
  • Strong facilitation and communication skills, with the ability to translate between business needs and technical execution and partner effectively without direct authority.
  • High operational discipline with a track record of driving work to closure, closing loops, resolving dependencies, and keeping cross-functional initiatives moving.
  • Experience in CPG, eCommerce, content, media, or marketing technology preferred.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to connect technology capabilities to measurable outcomes including speed to market, content productivity, media effectiveness, consumer engagement, efficiency, and growth.
