Engineer - Factory Calibration / ESD

About The Role:

• Responsible for the overall management, governance, and continuous improvement of the Calibration and Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) programs to ensure compliance with internal, customer, industry, and regulatory requirements.
• Leads calibration laboratory operations, ESD control initiatives, and technical personnel to ensure measurement reliability, equipment accuracy, product quality, and manufacturing continuity.
• Oversees resource planning, budgeting, strategic direction, and performance management of Calibration and ESD functions while driving operational excellence and risk reduction across the organization.

What You Will Do:

• CALIBRATION PROGRAM MANAGEMENT
  • Establish, implement, and maintain the site's calibration management system and strategy.
  • Ensure all production, laboratory, monitoring, and test equipment are calibrated in accordance with applicable standards and schedules.
  • Oversee calibration laboratory operations to ensure measurement accuracy, traceability, and compliance with ISO, IATF, customer, and corporate requirements.
  • Review and approve calibration procedures, specifications, work instructions, and technical reports.
  • Ensure availability of resources, facilities, equipment, and qualified personnel to support calibration activities.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance calibration effectiveness, efficiency, and cost performance.

• ESD PROGRAM MANAGEMENT
  • Lead and continuously improve the site ESD Control Program in compliance with ANSI/ESD S20.20 and customer requirements.
  • Establish ESD policies, procedures, verification plans, and auditing mechanisms.
  • Ensure effective implementation of ESD controls in manufacturing, laboratories, warehouses, and support areas.
  • Chair or oversee the site's ESD Committee and coordinate cross-functional ESD activities.
  • Monitor ESD performance metrics, incident trends, compliance levels, and corrective actions.
  • Lead investigations of ESD-related incidents and implement preventive measures.

What You Will Need

• Minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience in Calibration, Metrology, ESD, Quality Engineering, or Reliability Engineering within the Semiconductor or Electronics Manufacturing Industry..
• Proven experience in Calibration Laboratory Management and ESD Program Implementation with:
  • Strong understanding of metrology and measurement traceability concepts.
  • Strong understanding of ESD program implementation and compliance management.
• Experience supporting customer audits, certification audits, and regulatory compliance requirements.
• Professional certifications in Calibration, Metrology, ESD, Quality, or Reliability are advantageous.
