We are a small, growing IT development company building custom software products and business systems for our clients.
We are looking for a Product & Solution Architect who can look at a system from the end user's point of view, understand the underlying business problem, and turn that understanding into a clear, usable product and system design that our development team can build.
This is a hands-on role sitting between the client, the users, the product, and the developers.
What you'll do- Analyze business processes and identify what the system actually needs to accomplish.
- Design user journeys, workflows, roles, permissions, and system interactions.
- Design application interfaces and user experiences, including wireframes, prototypes, and screen flows.
- Turn business and user needs into clear functional requirements.
- Design the structure and behavior of applications and systems.
- Define features, workflows, integrations, business rules, and edge cases.
- Create user stories, acceptance criteria, functional specifications, diagrams, prototypes, and other documentation that developers can use.
- Work closely with developers throughout implementation to ensure the solution matches the intended product and user experience.
- Challenge requirements when appropriate and propose simpler or better solutions.
- Help prioritize features based on user value, business needs, complexity, and risk.
- Think through both normal and exceptional user scenarios.
- Participate throughout the entire product development process, from initial concept through implementation and refinement.
We're looking for someone who combines product thinking, user experience, system analysis, and technical understanding.
You should have experience in several of the following areas:
- Product management or product ownership
- Business analysis
- Systems analysis
- Solution architecture
- UX / UI design
- Product design
- User journey and workflow design
- Wireframing and prototyping
- Requirements engineering
- Designing web or business applications
- Working directly with clients and stakeholders
- Working closely with software developers
Practical design experience is important. You should be able to take a business process or user requirement and turn it into a clear, intuitive interface and user experience. Experience with tools such as Figma, FigJam, Sketch, Adobe XD, or similar is a plus.
You don't necessarily need to be a hands-on programmer, but you must be technically literate and comfortable discussing APIs, databases, integrations, authentication, permissions, data flows, system architecture, and technical constraints with developers.
The ideal candidateThe ideal candidate can move comfortably between:
User needs → UX/UI design → Business requirements → Product design → System architecture → Development
You should be able to take an ambiguous business problem and turn it into a structured solution that is:
- Useful for the end user
- Simple and intuitive to use
- Technically feasible
- Clearly defined for developers
- Aligned with the client's business objectives
We are not primarily looking for someone to manage Jira tickets, schedules, or meetings.
We need someone who can think through the product and the system itself, design the user experience, understand the business requirements, and work with developers to turn the concept into a working product.
What we offer- A small team where your decisions have a direct impact on the products we build.
- Close collaboration with experienced developers.
- Direct contact with clients and users.
- The opportunity to shape products from the initial idea through implementation.
- A role with significant ownership rather than a narrowly defined set of responsibilities.
If you enjoy turning ambiguous business problems into clear, intuitive, well-designed, and technically feasible software systems, we'd like to hear from you.
