Develop and test next-generation high voltage solutions

Would you like to contribute to the development of high voltage technology that supports the green transition? As a High Voltage Engineer at NKT’s Technology Consulting in Västerås, you will work with electrical testing, innovation and customer-focused development projects in an international environment. This is an opportunity to contribute to advanced energy solutions while working with modern laboratories and colleagues across multiple disciplines. Are you interested in turning technical challenges into practical solutions?

Design and perform advanced high voltage testing

As a High Voltage Engineer, you will support research, development and testing activities related to high voltage technologies. The role involves planning and carrying out experiments, analysing results and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders. Working closely with technical specialists and project teams, you will contribute to both innovation projects and customer assignments while ensuring compliance with safety requirements and international standards.

Your responsibility will be to:

  • Design and perform high voltage experiments and measurement methods
  • Carry out testing, analysis and technical reporting activities

You are motivated by finding solutions, contributing to continuous improvement and supporting projects from planning through to delivery.

You also have:

  • BSc or MSc in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Power Technology or High Voltage Engineering/Technology
  • Experience using MATLAB, LTSpice, PSPICE or similar simulation tools, and AutoCAD
  • ESA19 (Elsäkerhetsanvisningarna)
  • Knowledge of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC)
  • At least 2 years of experience testing in high voltage laboratories

Contribute to future energy infrastructure

We aim to create a workplace where people of all backgrounds are valued, supported, and able to do their best work. We welcome varied backgrounds and career paths-even if you don’t meet every single requirement. We believe inclusive teams contribute to positive results and create a better every day work environment.

At NKT, you will be part of a collaborative international team where learning and development are encouraged. You will have opportunities to expand your technical skills, work with advanced laboratories and contribute to the development of high voltage technologies that support the transition to more sustainable energy systems. The role also offers exposure to customer projects, innovation activities and career development within a global organisation.
