  • Design, implement, and sustain new and improved processes, layouts, and systems, including lean and continuous improvement initiatives such as standard work and 5S, leading change management, documentation, training, and rollout to increase efficiency and reduce errors, rework, and waste.
  • Oversee procedures for shipments, and communicate with customers about shipping and receiving.
  • Create work schedules and staffing plans, allocate tasks, and coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth workflow and timely completion of orders.
  • Provide training to new employees and conduct ongoing training sessions to enhance the skills of existing workers, including cross-training on warehouse, assembly, and equipment operation.
  • Ensure that safety protocols are followed to prevent accidents and injuries. This includes conducting regular safety inspections and addressing any potential hazards.
  • Manage inventory levels and accuracy, including cycle counting and replenishment, request materials as needed, and ensure that adequate supplies are available to meet production demands.
  • Address any issues or challenges that arise during warehouse and assembly processes, such as equipment malfunctions (including crimping equipment and tooling) or production delays, and coordinate preventive maintenance.
  • Manage departmental labor, overtime, and operating costs against budget, and identify opportunities for cost reduction.
  • Maintain records of production activities, including output levels, quality control measures, and any incidents or accidents that occur.
  • Develop, document, and maintain standard operating procedures and work instructions for warehouse and assembly operations, and ensure all procedures and guidelines are followed.
  • Knowledge of how and where to locate procedures and forms relevant to this position.
