Accountant

Job Description: NTIS Pakistan is a translation and interpreting agency serving legal firms, public sector organizations, foreign missions, NGOs, and local government departments. We are seeking an Accountant to support accurate financial operations and reporting for our professional services business in Islamabad.

The successful candidate will maintain reliable accounting records, help ensure timely processing of financial transactions, and provide clear information to support management decisions.

• Record and reconcile daily financial transactions, journal entries, and general ledger accounts.
• Prepare monthly financial statements, management reports, and account schedules.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable, including invoice review, payment tracking, and follow-up on outstanding balances.
• Reconcile bank statements and investigate discrepancies, ensuring issues are resolved promptly.
• Assist with budgeting, cash-flow monitoring, tax documentation, and audit preparation.
• Maintain organized financial records and support compliance with applicable accounting standards and company procedures.
• Coordinate with internal teams and external parties to obtain and verify financial information.

This is an on-site, full-time role based in Islamabad. The Accountant will be expected to demonstrate discretion, accuracy, and sound judgment when handling confidential financial information.Job Specification:

• Practical experience with bookkeeping, general ledger maintenance, and month-end closing.
• Strong skills in bank, balance sheet, and control account reconciliations.
• Ability to prepare financial statements, expense summaries, and management reports accurately.
• Knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, invoicing, and payment tracking.
• Competence with spreadsheets and accounting software; confident use of formulas and financial data checks.
• Working understanding of applicable accounting principles, tax records, and audit documentation.
• Excellent numerical accuracy, organization, and attention to detail.
• Clear written and verbal communication, professional coordination, and responsible handling of confidential records.
• Ability to prioritize recurring deadlines and resolve discrepancies independently.
