About the Role

NTT DATA is seeking an experienced Senior Developer / Technical Lead with strong expertise in Node.js, TypeScript, Express.js, PostgreSQL, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to design, develop, and lead the delivery of scalable healthcare applications. The ideal candidate will have strong technical leadership skills, experience building cloud-native applications, and a solid understanding of healthcare data management and compliance requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and deployment of enterprise-grade healthcare applications.
• Architect and develop RESTful APIs and microservices using Node.js, TypeScript, and Express.js.
• Design scalable and high-performance database solutions using PostgreSQL.
• Implement cloud-native solutions leveraging Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services.
• Manage and optimize storage solutions using Google Cloud Storage (GCS).
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, solution architects, product owners, and cross-functional teams.
• Conduct code reviews and enforce coding standards, security best practices, and quality guidelines.
• Mentor and guide development teams, providing technical leadership and architectural direction.
• Identify performance bottlenecks and implement optimization strategies.
• Ensure applications comply with healthcare industry standards, security requirements, and data privacy regulations.
• Support CI/CD implementation and DevOps best practices.
• Participate in effort estimations, sprint planning, and technical discussions.

Required Technical Skills

Backend Technologies

• Strong hands-on experience in:
• Node.js
• TypeScript
• Express.js
• Experience developing REST APIs and microservices architectures.
• Knowledge of authentication and authorization mechanisms such as JWT and OAuth.

Database

• Expertise in:
• PostgreSQL
• Strong understanding of:
• Database design
• Query optimization
• Performance tuning
• Data modeling

Cloud & Storage

• Hands-on experience with:
• Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
• Google Cloud Storage (GCS)
• Experience with cloud-native application development, deployment, and monitoring.
• Understanding of containerization and orchestration technologies is preferred.

Healthcare Domain

• Experience working with healthcare applications, platforms, or digital health solutions.
• Knowledge of healthcare interoperability standards such as HL7/FHIR is highly desirable.
• Understanding of healthcare data privacy, security, and compliance requirements.

Leadership & Soft Skills

• Proven experience leading development teams and technical initiatives.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical capabilities.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced Agile environment.
• Experience mentoring junior and mid-level developers.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• GCP Certifications are a plus.
• Experience with CI/CD, DevOps practices, Docker, and Kubernetes is desirable.

Experience Required

• 10+ years of software development experience.
• Minimum 5+ years of experience in Node.js-based enterprise application development.
• Proven experience in technical leadership, solution design, and architecture discussions.
• Experience delivering cloud-hosted healthcare applications at scale.
