Enter Numeric - the modern platform for accounting and finance. We're building the platform that realizes the dream of live, rich, trustworthy data and insights for companies to drive decision-making & execution.
We tackle foundational challenges required to automate ingest, transformation, matching, projection, and reporting for an end-to-end graph of financial data. Weaving together data, automation, workflows, and AI-first experiences, we’re empowering accounting teams to own the continuous window into companies' finances and activity.
We have strong product market fit and a growing base of customers who love our product - including Anthropic, Brex, OpenAI, Plaid, Wealthfront, and many more. We’re backed by top-tier investors including IVP, Menlo Ventures, Founders Fund, and 8VC, along with founders and executives from Ramp, Segment, and other category-defining companies.
The Role
Our product teams are responsible for inventing the future of finance and accounting. We work at the whiteboard, we bring fresh eyes to a complex domain, we break down problems to their fundamentals, and we relentlessly seek the right answer to a problem.
We have teams in both SF and NYC that are hiring product engineers. There is no single exact profile of skill and background that can succeed, but we rather seek to understand your strengths and assemble teams that work excellently together.

What you need
5+ years of experience building software
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Math, or Philosophy

Experience founding a business or building products from scratch
How we work
This role is in-person in New York City.
As an engineer at Numeric you will learn the domain, meet your users, and exercise substantial creativity and agency over product direction. You'll work with a high-pace, high-integrity team that loves collaboration.
