Senior Software Engineer (Collision Avoidance)

Join Nuro, a robotics company focused on revolutionizing local commerce. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will contribute to our Parallel Autonomy System and Collision Detection System, ensuring the safety of our passengers and other road participants. You will work on a variety of challenges, including ML-based perception, object velocity and acceleration estimation, onboard latency optimization, and large-scale data curation. You will collaborate with a tight-knit group of engineers and participate in the design and implementation of a system that spans perception, planning, and control.

Missions

• Contribute to the design and implementation of the Parallel Autonomy System and Collision Detection System.
• Work on machine learning-based perception across all sensor modalities, estimating object velocity and acceleration.
• Participate in the design of the validation methodology to ensure high recall and precision on rare events.

Profil recherché

- Additional preferred experience:

- Experience deploying software in robotics products

- Deploying ML models in edge environments

- Strong coding skills in C++

- Developing state estimation algorithms for tracking applications

- BS in relevant engineering fields, such as CS, EE, or applied mathematics

- Optimizing architectures to explore the accuracy vs. compute tradeoff
