WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:

  • Support several manufacturing processes to ensure equipment uptime, meet production goals and maintain high product quality.
  • Prepare and maintain manufacturing documentation (Routings, BOM’s, Standard Work, and Work Instructions) for new and existing equipment in manufacturing.
  • Identify opportunities and lead projects to improve productivity, reduce costs, improve quality and achieve on time delivery to meet production needs.
  • Lead new equipment financial justifications, installations, process modifications and improvements.
  • Work with operators, team leads, value stream managers, and planners to optimize process center layouts and designs incorporating material flow and line balancing.
  • Interface with Maintenance and operators to troubleshoot equipment problems.
  • Coordinate with Product Development to successfully launch new products into a high-volume and diverse manufacturing environment.
  • Champion Lean Manufacturing across the plant through cross-functional events and Continuous Improvement projects.

YOU HAVE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
  • 5+ years of experience
  • Experience leading teams or significant cross-functional projects.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups or managers
  • Desire to work in a hands-on, manufacturing plant environment
  • Proficient use of Microsoft products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access and Outlook.
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement preferable
  • Experience with AutoCAD and 3D Modeling preferable
