NVIDIA is an American technology company founded in 1993 that invented the graphics processing unit and has become the dominant supplier of accelerated computing platforms for artificial intelligence. Its portfolio spans data centre GPUs and systems built on the Hopper and Blackwell architectures, GeForce consumer graphics, automotive and robotics platforms, high-speed networking acquired with Mellanox, and the CUDA software stack that binds the ecosystem together. Headquartered in Santa Clara, California, the company sells to cloud providers, enterprises, research institutions and gamers worldwide and is one of the most valuable listed businesses on the Nasdaq.

At NVIDIA, we're solving the world's most demanding problems with our unique approach to accelerated computing. Quantum computing is one of the transformative technologies we are bringing to life - and the US national laboratories and federal research community are key hubs for much of that work. NVIDIA's quantum platform, spanning CUDA-Q, cuQuantum, CUDA-Q QEC, and NVQLink, is already central to how researchers simulate quantum systems, develop error-corrected architectures, and connect QPUs to GPU supercomputing.

We're looking for a passionate quantum computing expert to lead developer relations across this community. In this role you will define strategic collaborations, drive adoption of NVIDIA's quantum SDKs across federal research programs and serve as the technical bridge between mission scientists and NVIDIA's product and engineering teams. You'll do this by getting into the ecosystem - running workshops at user facilities, presenting at conferences, building reference implementations, and cultivating a network of collaborators across the federal quantum landscape. Doing what’s never been done before takes vision, innovation, and the world’s best talent. As an NVIDIAN, you’ll be immersed in a diverse, supportive environment where everyone is inspired to do their best work. Come join the team and see how you can make a lasting impact on the world!

What you'll be doing:

  • Serve as the senior technical and strategic interface to a focused set of NVIDIA’s most important QPU-builder partners.

  • Develop a detailed understanding of each partner’s architecture, technical roadmap, product strategy, and system requirements. Use these insights to shape NVIDIA’s computing, networking, and quantum software roadmaps.

  • Create and drive multi-year joint roadmaps that integrate partner QPUs with NVIDIA GPUs, networking, systems, and software, including CUDA-Q, CUDA-Q QEC, cuQuantum, and NVQLink.

  • Move partner engagements from piecemeal integrations toward co-designed, productizable QPU-GPU systems and reference architectures that NVIDIA and its partners can take to market.

  • Lead cross-functional work across NVIDIA product, engineering, systems, networking, developer relations, and business development teams to turn joint roadmaps into clear technical plans and deliverables.

  • Conduct technical workshops, hackathons, and hands-on training sessions at national labs, user facilities, and federal research venues. Represent NVIDIA at scientific and technical conferences such as SC, APS Global Physics Summit, and IEEE Quantum Week.

  • Engage senior technical leaders, including division directors, principal investigators, chief scientists, and program managers. Collaborate to address architectural challenges such as QPU-GPU integration, real-time control, decoding latency, and the transition to fault tolerance.

What we need to see:

  • Master's degree in physics, computer science, electrical engineering, applied mathematics, chemistry, or a related field, or equivalent experience. PhD preferred.

  • 14+ years of experience in quantum information science, with 5+ years in the quantum computing industry or at a national laboratory or similar research institution.

  • Demonstrated technical expertise across quantum algorithms, quantum error correction, or quantum hardware and control systems, with the ability to maintain a credible conversation with a principal investigator.

  • Hands-on background in scientific computing, high-performance computing, or GPU-accelerated software development.

  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, including public speaking to technical audiences.

  • Willingness to travel frequently (approximately 40%) to national laboratories, federal sites, and conferences across the United States.

  • This position requires U.S. citizenship and a security clearance. An active TS/SCI or DOE Q clearance is strongly preferred.

Ways to stand out from the crowd:

  • Prior experience working at or with a DOE national laboratory, an NQIS Research Center, or other federal institution - particularly hands-on time at a leading computing facility.

  • Familiarity with federal research funding, procurement, and collaboration mechanisms, and with how lab program offices set technical direction.

  • Prior developer relations, technical evangelism, or solutions architecture experience in a research-facing role.

  • Experience with quantum control stacks, QPU calibration, or real-time systems.

We have some of the most forward-thinking and hardworking people in the world working for us and, due to outstanding growth, our best-in-class engineering teams are rapidly growing. If you're a creative and autonomous person with a real passion for technology, we want to hear from you!

Your base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions. The base salary range is 320,000 USD - 488,750 USD.

You will also be eligible for equity and benefits.

Applications for this job will be accepted at least until September 19, 2026.
