A site filled with everything you could possibly think of, and also probably not think of, related to an oat drink company called Oatly.

Hello potential future Oatly employee.

Hello potential future Oatly employee. It's us, the original oat drink company.

We're looking for an HR Generalist who loves being close to both people and the business. Based at our production site in Vlissingen, you'll support colleagues across Vlissingen, Amsterdam and Brussels and work across pretty much the entire employee lifecycle. Recruitment, onboarding, HR operations, payroll, absence management: you'll get broad exposure and plenty of room to make things even better.

THE ROLE

As our HR Generalist, you'll help us make sure Oatly is a great place to work. Broad, right? Well, that's exactly what makes this role interesting.

You'll take on a hands-on role supporting our production site in Vlissingen and our Sales teams in Amsterdam and Brussels, helping us grow in a structured, human and compliant way. You'll be based in Vlissingen and report to our People Business Partner Benelux. Here's an overview of what you would do:

  • HR Operations: Help keep our HR backbone running smoothly. Think contracts, employee files, sick leave, payroll inputs, salary pay runs and day-to-day HR questions. You'll make sure the essentials are accurate, compliant and simply work.

  • Recruitment: Lead end-to-end recruitment together with our Hiring Managers, from writing attractive job ads and screening and sourcing candidates to interviewing and creating a one-of-a-kind candidate experience.

  • Onboarding: Give new Oatly colleagues a brilliant start. You'll make sure everything from Workday and IT access to training and onboarding sessions is organized, compliant and welcoming.

  • Workplace: Help maintain a safe, healthy and welcoming workplace where people can do their best work.

  • Collaboration: Partner closely with the People Business Partner Benelux and colleagues across our teams, while also working in exciting global projects and forums. From time to time, you’ll travel to Amsterdam to connect and collaborate in person.

WHAT WE NEED YOU TO BRING TO THE TABLE

  • You’ve got a Bachelor’s degree in HR or an equally solid story of how you got here and bring at least 3 years of hands-on experience in a generalist HR role or something similar, with experience across the employee lifecycle.

  • You’re a recruitment star and know exactly what it takes to bring the right talent on board.

  • You're comfortable working with HR systems and generally tech-savvy. Extra points if AI and automation spark your curiosity rather than fear.

  • You genuinely care about the details. And yes, every job spec says that. But for real, it's particularly important in this role.

  • You care about people and bring empathy, good judgement and a strong "how can I help?" mindset.

  • You're curious, quick to learn and have a roll-up-your-sleeves, let's-just-do-it attitude. You're also comfortable finding your way when things aren't fully defined (yet).

  • You're professionally fluent in Dutch and English, both written and spoken.

  • And you're based in Vlissingen or the surrounding area, close enough to commute without turning it into an endurance sport.

Finally, we hope you share our values and enthusiasm for our mission, so together we can make the world a little bit better, one cup at a time.

WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU?

We promised ourselves we wouldn't make another massive list, so here's the short version: a bunch of cool colleagues, an international working environment, 30 days of holiday plus bank holidays, an awesome new office next to our factory (with excellent cappoatccinos), a cost-free pension plan, bike plan, vitality allowance and tools to support your mental and physical wellbeing.

Not bad, right?

YOUR APPLICATION

Phew! Still with us? Great, because there's one last important thing.

We're a norm-breaking company, and we see diversity and differences as an obvious asset. We also know that brilliant people sometimes don't apply unless they tick every single box. We'd rather you didn't let that stop you.

So, if this role feels right and you bring the curiosity, passion and collaborative spirit we're looking for, trust your gut and apply. Let's do this together. It'll be fun!

Apply no later than November 16, 2026.

We want every candidate to have a smooth and fair experience, so if you're interested, please apply through our application system and keep all application-related correspondence there.
