MDR Services Engineer

Obrela is seeking a MDR Services Engineer to join the Obrela MDR Services team based in Athens, Greece.

The MDR Services Engineer will support the onboarding and integration of new customers into Obrela’s Managed Detection & Response services and will work closely with multiple internal teams to ensure that services are configured, validated, documented, and delivered according to the agreed requirements.

The candidates should be competent to work at a high technical level, be strong team players, and be willing to follow applicable processes and procedures while maintaining the flexibility to “think outside the box”.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and coordinate the end-to-end onboarding process of new MDR customers
• Work with customers and internal stakeholders to understand onboarding requirements and security monitoring needs
• Configure and validate log collection, connectivity, parsing, and data ingestion
• Develop, maintain, and update onboarding configuration guides
• Troubleshoot onboarding and integration issues related to log ingestion, connectivity, parsing, and configuration
• Support technical validation activities and ensure that onboarded services meet agreed technical and operational requirements
• Contribute to the standardization, optimization, and continuous improvement of onboarding processes
• Research, develop, and implement new tools, scripts, and automation to improve onboarding efficiency and scalability

Requirements:

• Demonstrated experience in SIEM,EDR or Security Operations
• Experience with SIEM platforms such as IBM QRadar and Microsoft Sentinel
• Familiarity with Microsoft Defender XDR, CrowdStrike,Cortex
• Good knowledge of log formats and collection mechanisms, including Syslog, CEF, JSON, Windows Event Logs, APIs, and agent-based collection
• Good understanding of Windows and Linux logging
• Experience with cloud and on-premises security monitoring and integration, including Azure, AWS, Oracle Cloud, and on-prem environments
• Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash for automation and troubleshooting
• Excellent communication, analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to manage multiple onboarding activities and priorities in parallel
• Strong documentation skills and attention to detail
• Security certifications such as Microsoft SC-200, IBM QRadar Certified Specialist, or similar are considered a plus
