We are seeking a Senior Designer to join our team in New York or Kansas City to support the North America business development community. This is an exciting opportunity to help build and shape new business pitches, the Ogilvy brand and our story. You will report to the NY New Business Executive Group Director, with support and guidance from the Executive Design Director, Growth. 

The Senior Designer should have the skills to translate complex concepts and business requirements into clear visual, graphic design articulations in both physical and digital environments. The ideal talent has experience with large iconic branding efforts, animation, basic motion graphics and most importantly, deck design. 

Amongst your strengths will be energy, speed, persuasive presentation skills, a roll-up-your-sleeves work ethic, a vision of creative possibility in virtually any media, and the ability to form dynamic working partnerships with your colleagues. 

You will help us craft the Ogilvy story as we pursue new opportunities with prospective clients. You will help lead a team as we build and scale operational best practices, attract new clients and drive sustainable growth, working alongside Ogilvy leadership, subject matter experts and discipline leads to achieve our ambition. 

What You’ll Do  

• Translate marketing strategies and complex processes/charts into cohesive “on brand” design recommendations and develop design concepts to tell a visual story to prospective clients.
• Concept and execute creative ideas and mockups in a compelling manner.
• Interpret various prospects’ creative direction, brand tone and style guides to match their look and feel.
• Work independently and as part of the larger pitch team with ability to triage multiple stakeholders’ feedback.
• Quickly gain an understanding of the story we are trying to tell to inform design system and theme.
• Identify stock art and photography to match stakeholder briefs.
• Be attentive to content to allow for content and presentation strategy recommendations from past relevant work.
• Participate in relevant internal and external meetings - briefings, status, brainstorming sessions and presentations.
• Prioritize workload and demonstrate excellent time management skills.
• Organize creative resources and assets libraries as needed.
• Build landing pages to host key assets and further tell our story. 

What You’ll Need  

• You have at least 4-6 years of professional design experience in an agency setting (preferably large agency experience).
• A portfolio that demonstrates solid typography, brand identity, concepting, layout development, illustrations, print and motion.
• Sharp, polished style with an eye for detail.
• Strong grasp of visual storytelling, hierarchy and sign posting to guide the viewer/reader on a curated journey.
• Nimble and able to work at breakneck speed under pressure at times, while being efficient with downtime to avoid future scramble.
• Strong design POV and ability to share that with stakeholders to get clarity in design brief to reduce iteration.
• Ability to manage a large volume of work at times.
• Passion for technology and a critical point of view on how design impacts brand perception.
• Interest and knowledge in the latest design and social media trends.
• Experience with Sketch, Adobe Creative Cloud, including After Effects.
• Experience with AI image creation a plus.

The base salary range for this position at the time of this posting is indicated below. Individual compensation varies based on job-related factors, including location, business needs, level of responsibility, experience, and qualifications. Pay Range

$60,000—$140,000 USD
