PURPOSE
To process customer transactions accurately and efficiently while delivering excellent customer service, ensuring a smooth checkout experience and contributing to overall store profitability.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- National Senior Certificate (Grade 12)
- Minimum 2 years’ cashier experience
ADVANTAGEOUS
- Certificate in Computer Sciences
- Experience in retail/FMCG environments
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Transaction Processing
- Process all customer transactions accurately and efficiently
- Ensure correct handling of cash, card, and other payment methods
- Guarantee that all monies received and returned are correct
Customer Service
- Deliver friendly, professional, and efficient service at all times
- Create a positive checkout experience for every customer
Cash Control
- Perform cash-ups in line with standard operating procedures
- Maintain accuracy and accountability for all transactions
