  • Support project delivery by providing leadership oversight, removing barriers, and promoting consistency and quality in civil design work.
  • Partner with project managers and other group leaders to support workload balancing, resource planning, and utilization.
  • Assist with onboarding, coaching, and professional development of team members.
  • Support process improvements related to civil design standards, workflows, and quality control.
  • Serve as a point of escalation for team questions related to workload, coordination, or technical challenges.
  • Help team members understand how their work connects to project success, client outcomes, and Olsson’s long-term goals.
  • Collaborate with leadership on hiring needs, succession planning, and long-term team growth.

Qualifications

You are passionate about:

  • Working collaboratively with others.
  • Having ownership in the work you do.
  • Using your talents to positively affect communities.

You bring to the team:

  • A bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a related field.

  • Four years of experience supervising junior staff
  • Solid understanding of project delivery, coordination with multidisciplinary teams, and quality expectations.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build trust with team members and project partners.
  • Interest in developing leadership, coaching, and people-management skills.

Actual compensation will vary based on factors such as experience, qualifications, geographic location, skills, education, and internal equity.
