Our Newest Opportunity:
The Senior Accountant works with theSeniorDirector of Corporate Accounting, AccountingManager, and other members of the Finance team, on month-end and year-end close processes, account reconciliations, acquisition research, as well as making adjustments to the general ledger.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):
- Assist with the accounting for Intangible assets, acquisition accounting, capitalized software, accrued expense, accrued liability & other accounts;
- Prepare journal entries in accordance with monthly tasks assigned;
- Prepare associated reconciliation of accounts and research inconsistencies during month-end close process;
- Work with internal and external teams to obtain acquisition agreements and related documents;
- Analyze and interpret the details of acquisition agreements;
- Provide external auditors with documentation and explanations for annual audit;
- Prepare monthly consolidation, intercompany entries and research variances;
- Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
- Additional responsibilities assigned by management.
Qualifications, Skills and Requirements:
- Able to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail;
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment;
- Excellent judgement and problem solving skills;
- Takes initiative to perform research and propose solutions;
- Must be self-motivated, disciplined, and ability to thrive in fast-paced environment.
Education, Training and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Accounting or Business with emphasis in Accounting, required;
- Master’s degree in Finance/Accounting or CPA, preferred;
- Minimum three years’ experience in Accounting, required;
- Must be highly skilled in use of Microsoft Office;
- Financial reporting experience, required;
- Basic understanding of GAAP, required;
- Experience with Dynamics GP, preferred;
- Experience with SEC reporting, strongly preferred.
