Zakres obowiązków

• Developing and maintaining production web applications in Ruby on Rails
• Working with PostgreSQL and relational databases
• Frontend development using JavaScript, HTML and CSS
• Designing and working with REST APIs and third-party integrations
• Working with background jobs and asynchronous processing
• Investigating bugs and production issues independently
• Taking tasks from investigation through implementation and deployment
• Writing and maintaining tests with RSpec
• Working on application performance, database queries and caching
• Writing maintainable and readable code
• Using AI-assisted development tools as part of the development workflow

Wymagania

Must have

• 2–4 years of professional software development experience, working on production applications
• Strong experience with Ruby and Ruby on Rails
• Good knowledge of PostgreSQL and practical experience working with relational databases
• Good working knowledge of JavaScript, HTML, and CSS, and experience with frontend development
• Experience designing and working with REST APIs and third-party integrations
• Practical understanding of application performance, database queries, caching, and common production issues
• Experience writing and maintaining tests with RSpec
• Ability to investigate bugs and production issues independently and take a task from investigation through implementation and deployment
• Good understanding of software engineering fundamentals and ability to write maintainable, readable code
• Good written and spoken English for day-to-day communication in an international team

• Experience with background jobs and asynchronous processing, ideally Sidekiq and Redis
• Comfortable using AI-assisted development tools as part of the development workflow
