IT Engineer

Job Overview:

Provide reliable IT and desktop support for the Singapore office, covering end-user devices, software, user accounts, network connectivity, IT assets, and routine infrastructure operations. Contribute to security operations, PAM reporting, audit activities, staff training, and practical AI-enabled workflow automation.

Key Responsibilities

1. Desktop & End-User Support

· Provide first- and second-level support for laptops, desktops, peripherals, Windows systems, and standard office applications.

· Install, configure, troubleshoot, and maintain endpoints; support staff onboarding, offboarding, and workstation setup.

· Manage IT requests and incidents through tickets, document resolutions, and meet agreed service expectations.

2. IT Operations, Network & Assets

· Support user account administration, access provisioning, VPN, Wi-Fi, printers, and basic network connectivity.

· Maintain hardware/software inventories, licenses, device lifecycle, procurement coordination, and vendor follow-up.

· Assist with routine server operations, backup checks, patching, system monitoring, and recovery activities under established procedures.

3. Security & Cloud Operations

· Assist with endpoint security controls, antivirus/EDR health checks, security updates, and baseline compliance.

· Support access reviews, vulnerability tracking, audit evidence collection, and remediation follow-up with relevant teams.

· Perform basic operational checks and administrative support for AWS/Azure resources under guidance; escalate complex security or infrastructure issues.

· Prepare routine Privileged Access Management (PAM) access and activity reports using approved tools and templates; flag exceptions to the security team.

· Assist with internal/external IT and security audits by gathering evidence, tracking requests, and following up on outstanding items under supervision.

4. AI Automation, Documentation & Collaboration

· Use approved AI tools and scripting (e.g., PowerShell or Python) to design, develop, and improve simple automation processes for routine IT tasks, such as account administration, ticket handling, PAM reporting, audit evidence preparation, and operational reporting; follow security, privacy, and change-control requirements.

· Maintain clear SOPs, asset records, support documentation, audit-ready records, and periodic operational reports.

· Coordinate with internal IT, security, application teams, end users, and vendors, providing clear and timely updates in Mandarin Chinese and English.

· Support IT onboarding and basic security-awareness training for employees, including user guides, briefings, and practical guidance on acceptable use and phishing.

Qualifications & Requirements

· Diploma or degree in information technology, computer science, or a related discipline.

· Fresh graduates are welcome to apply. Candidates with 2–3 years of hands-on experience in desktop support, IT help desk, or IT operations are preferred.

· Technical Skills: Windows 10/11, Windows Server basics, Microsoft 365, hardware/software troubleshooting, user account administration, networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, VPN), and ticketing systems.

· Security / Cloud: Basic understanding of endpoint protection, patch management, access control, and AWS or Azure operations.

· Soft Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential, with a service-oriented attitude, clear documentation, practical problem-solving, and the ability to collaborate effectively with users, colleagues, and vendors.

· Proficiency in Mandarin is required to communicate effectively with China HQ colleagues and Mandarin-speaking stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

· Experience with EDR/antivirus tools, IT asset management, and Active Directory or Microsoft Entra ID.

· Basic PowerShell or Python scripting, or experience using approved AI tools to streamline support tasks.

· Exposure to regulated environments such as banking or fintech and security audit evidence preparation.

· Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, Microsoft or AWS foundational certifications) are advantageous, not mandatory.
