Sr. Backend Engineer

We are seeking an experienced backend engineer to architect and implement developer-friendly APIs. The role demands a comprehensive understanding of third-party API services to develop a reliable and scalable infrastructure. The candidate will lead the design and development of these applications, collaborating closely with teams across various product infrastructure layers. Success in this position requires a highly collaborative mindset and a dedication to excellence.

Responsibilities:

• Build, own, and maintain backend data infrastructure.
• Design and implement database and storage solutions that fit the needs for both data transactions and reporting.
• Build a highly scalable and robust backend architecture ground up.
• Test, debug, and maintain the application software throughout the product lifecycle.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of cumulative experience working as a full-stack engineer.
• Expertise in using Python + Flask + Django + FastAPI
• Skilled in deploying serverless applications and managing relational databases (PostgreSQL).
• Strong implementation skills with AWS suite (EC2 S3 RDS, ELB, VPC, Cognito, Cloudwatch).
• Experience in building, testing, and deploying container applications using Docker.
• Working knowledge of API development for mobile/ web use.
• Contributions to open-source will be a plus.
• Excellent ability to prioritise and communicate in a fast-paced environment.

• Experience in working with a scaling product.
• Experience of working on revamping the existing scratchy product to achieve PMF.
• Must be good communicators as everyone here talks to end users.
