Application Maintenance Engineer

Perform root cause analysis and resolve application, batch processing, database and connectivity issues.
Develop, maintain and troubleshoot applications using Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs and microservices.
Support FIS Open Payment Framework (OPF), including defect remediation, troubleshooting and production deployment.
Conduct SIT, support UAT, validate fixes and coordinate production releases based on defect priority.
Monitor application performance and troubleshoot issues across databases, middleware, operating systems and messaging platforms.
Manage incident, problem and defect lifecycles, ensuring timely resolution and compliance with closure KPIs.
Coordinate with development, QA, infrastructure teams and vendors to maintain production stability and improve application quality.
Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related discipline, with at least 6 years of relevant experience.
Strong hands-on experience in Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, microservices and Hibernate ORM.
Mandatory experience in FIS Open Payment Framework (OPF) troubleshooting, maintenance and deployment.
Experience with SQL/Oracle databases, Linux/Solaris, JBoss, OpenShift and Apache.
Knowledge of messaging and scheduling tools such as Kafka, IBM MQ, Connect:Direct and Control-M.
Experience in production support, incident/problem management, CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Bitbucket and SonarQube, and defect tracking using Remedy/JIRA.
Strong troubleshooting, analytical skills; payment domain and SWIFT messaging experience are advantageous.
