Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Optum is hiring a Site Reliability Engineer to support a production identity-matching solution within Optum Technology. The role provides 24×7 production operations support, coordinates issue resolution, analyzes root causes, and contributes to software engineering and delivery.


Responsibilities

  • Role requires to provide 24×7 operational support to all production practices on holidays and weekends
  • Coordinate with various teams and raise support ticket for all issues, analyze root cause and assist in efficient resolution of all production processes
  • Maintain logs of all issues and ensure resolutions according to quality assurance tests for all production processes
  • Need to have good understanding of business processes within various systems used within the application
  • These roles include, but are not limited to analysis, design, coding, engineering, testing, debugging, standards, methods, tools analysis, documentation, research and development, maintenance, new development, operations and delivery
  • With every role in the company, each position has a requirement for building quality into every output
  • This also includes evaluating new tools, new techniques, strategies; Automation of common tasks; build of common utilities to drive organizational efficiency with a passion around technology and solutions and influence of thought and leadership on future capabilities and opportunities to apply technology in new and innovative ways

Skills

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 4+ years of experience Cloud SDK's with AWS using Java (spring boot microservices), Scala, and Python
  • 3+ years of experience with Distributed Data services (DynamoDB/Athena/Mongo/Apollo GraphQL platform)
  • 3+ years of experience AWS Cloud: S3, CloudWatch, ECS, Lambda, RDS, EMR
  • 3+ years of experience with CI/CD using GitHub Actions & container orchestration using AWS ECS/Kubernetes clusters
  • 3+ years of experience in Elastic APM
  • 3+ years of experience in Unix, Hadoop ,Hbase and Hive
