Role Overview:

The role holder is responsible for working under guidance on the installation of new equipment products including guiding the daily activity of the direct staff, testing equipment and driving safety processes. The role holder shall carry out his duties in accordance with the stipulated business policies and procedures.

Core Responsibilities:

• Assists the Engineer - Installation with assembly and installation of elevators, escalators and moving sidewalks using defined safety procedures.
• Interprets specifications, blueprints, or job orders to construct templates and lay out reference points for direct staff.
• Supports the escalated technical issues at client sites for new equipment installations.
• Inspects wiring connections, control panel hookups, door installations, alignment and clearance of cars and hoistways to ensure that equipment will operate properly.
• Adjusts safety controls, counterweights, door mechanisms, and components such as valves, ratchets, seals, and brake linings to ensure the quality of installed products.
• Tests elevators to determine power demands and tests power consumption to detect overload factors.
• Participates in the assembly of electrically powered stairs, steel frameworks and install associated motors and electrical wiring.
• Escalates safety concerns to the management and follows through to ensure corrective action is taken promptly.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in business/engineering or equivalent
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in field operations in a construction/engineering organization
• Fluent written and spoken English essential, Arabic preferred
