About the Role

At Pavago, one of our clients is hiring a Data Analyst / Data Engineer to transform business data into reliable reporting, actionable insights, and scalable data systems.

Depending on your experience, this role may lean toward data analytics, business intelligence, data engineering, or a combination of these areas.

You’ll work with SQL, dashboards, reporting tools, databases, and data pipelines to help teams better understand performance and make informed business decisions.

This role is ideal for someone who combines strong technical and analytical skills with the ability to explain data clearly to non-technical stakeholders.

What You’ll Own

Data Analysis & Business Insights

• Collect, clean, organize, and analyze business data
• Identify trends, patterns, anomalies, and performance drivers
• Translate raw data into meaningful business insights
• Investigate data questions and provide evidence-based recommendations
• Support stakeholders with ad hoc analysis and recurring reporting needs

SQL & Data Management

• Write, maintain, and optimize SQL queries
• Extract and combine data from multiple sources
• Work with relational databases and structured datasets
• Validate datasets for completeness and accuracy
• Troubleshoot inconsistencies across reporting and source systems

Dashboards & Business Intelligence

• Develop and maintain dashboards using tools such as:
• Power BI
• Tableau
• Looker
• Similar BI platforms
• Build recurring reports for business stakeholders
• Create clear visualizations that make complex information easier to understand
• Maintain consistent definitions and reporting logic across dashboards

Data Pipelines & Integrations

• Build or maintain data pipelines and integrations
• Help connect business systems and reporting environments
• Support reliable movement of data between platforms
• Troubleshoot pipeline and integration issues
• Improve the scalability and reliability of data workflows

Reporting Automation

• Automate recurring reporting and data preparation processes
• Reduce manual spreadsheet and reporting work
• Build repeatable workflows for common reporting requirements
• Identify opportunities to improve reporting efficiency
• Help ensure stakeholders have timely access to reliable information

Data Quality & Reliability

• Monitor and improve data accuracy
• Identify missing, duplicated, or inconsistent information
• Validate reporting outputs against source data
• Improve processes that support reliable reporting
• Maintain organized documentation around reporting and data workflows

Stakeholder Collaboration

• Work with business stakeholders to understand reporting requirements
• Translate business questions into analytical requirements
• Present findings clearly to technical and non-technical audiences
• Explain trends, metrics, and recommendations in practical business terms
• Collaborate across teams to improve data accessibility and reporting

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, data engineering, or a related role
• Strong hands-on SQL skills
• Experience with Excel and/or Google Sheets
• Experience using at least one BI or visualization platform such as:
• Power BI
• Tableau
• Looker
• Similar tools
• Familiarity with databases and data warehouses
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to identify patterns and insights within complex datasets
• Strong attention to data accuracy and reporting reliability
• Ability to communicate technical findings clearly to non-technical stakeholders
• Professional working English
• Comfortable working independently in a remote environment

• Experience with Python for data analysis or automation
• Experience building or maintaining data pipelines
• Experience integrating data from multiple systems
• Familiarity with cloud-based databases or data warehouses
• Experience automating recurring reporting workflows
