About the Role

At Pavago, one of our clients is hiring an E-commerce Operations & Data Analyst to support the day-to-day logistics, inventory management, operational reporting, and data analysis of a growing e-commerce business.

This is an operations-first role, not a highly technical data engineering position. You’ll coordinate freight and inventory, maintain accurate operational data, manage Shopify information, build reports and dashboards, and use spreadsheets to help the business make better operational decisions.

You’ll also use modern AI tools such as ChatGPT and Claude to streamline repetitive work, improve reporting, and make internal processes more efficient.

The ideal candidate combines logistics and e-commerce experience with strong spreadsheet and analytical skills and enjoys continuously improving how operations are run.

What You’ll Own

Logistics & Freight Coordination

• Manage freight and shipment coordination from start to finish.
• Track shipments, deliveries, and fulfillment timelines.
• Coordinate closely with warehouses and logistics partners.
• Maintain visibility into shipment status and proactively address delays.
• Keep accurate and organized logistics records.
• Ensure day-to-day logistics workflows run smoothly.

Inventory & Purchase Order Management

• Monitor inventory levels and stock availability.
• Create and manage purchase orders based on inventory needs.
• Use sales trends and forecasting data to support purchasing decisions.
• Help prevent stockouts and unnecessary overstock.
• Maintain accurate inventory trackers and records.
• Support inventory planning across products and fulfillment channels.

E-commerce Operations

• Manage and update product and operational data within Shopify.
• Maintain accurate product information and internal records.
• Support day-to-day e-commerce operational workflows.
• Coordinate information across inventory, logistics, sales, and customer operations.
• Identify operational issues and help resolve them before they impact customers.

Reporting & Data Analysis

• Maintain structured operational spreadsheets and trackers.
• Generate recurring reports covering:
• Sales
• Inventory
• Returns
• Customer service
• Product performance
• Logistics
• Analyze operational data to identify trends, issues, and opportunities.
• Build and maintain dashboards that give leadership clear visibility into performance.
• Support inventory forecasting and operational planning using reliable data.

AI & Workflow Improvement

• Use ChatGPT, Claude, and similar AI tools to improve day-to-day operational workflows.
• Identify repetitive processes that can be simplified or automated.
• Use AI to support:
• Reporting
• Data organization
• Dashboard workflows
• Analysis
• Documentation
• Repetitive task automation
• Develop practical AI-assisted processes that improve speed and accuracy.
• Collaborate with developers when more technical integrations or automations are required.
• Continuously identify opportunities to make operations more efficient.

Required Experience & Skills

• Previous experience in logistics, inventory management, supply chain coordination, or e-commerce operations.
• Experience coordinating freight, shipments, warehouses, or inventory workflows.
• Strong spreadsheet skills using Excel or Google Sheets.
• Strong operational reporting and data management abilities.
• Experience building or maintaining dashboards, reporting systems, or operational trackers.
• Experience with Shopify or a similar e-commerce platform.
• Practical experience using ChatGPT, Claude, or similar AI tools in a business environment.
• Experience improving workflows or automating repetitive operational tasks.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment during U.S. business hours.

Nice to Have

• Experience working with growing e-commerce or DTC brands.
• Inventory forecasting or demand-planning experience.
• Experience coordinating with third-party warehouses or fulfillment partners.

• Review inventory levels and upcoming stock requirements.
