Senior Accountant - Australian Tax & Business Services

Salary: Up to PHP 90,000/month (negotiable for the right candidate)

Work Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM AEST

Role Overview

We are looking for a Senior Accountant with strong Australian tax and public practice experience.

You will work with individual and small business clients, handling tax compliance, financial reporting, bookkeeping, and related accounting tasks.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organised, and able to manage work from start to finish with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare Australian individual and business tax returns from start to finish, including income/expense analysis, rental schedules, CGT, and sole trader schedules.
• Prepare BAS/IAS, financial statements, and income tax returns for sole traders, companies, and trusts using Xero.
• Use ATO Online Services for Agents to download reports and support tax compliance activities.
• Maintain bookkeeping records, fixed asset registers, payroll, and related compliance tasks.
• Assist with ABN, TFN, GST registrations and ASIC annual reviews and company changes.
• Set up and maintain client records in Xero Practice Manager (XPM) and related systems.
• Assist with company, trust, and super fund establishment paperwork.
• Maintain procedures and identify opportunities to improve internal processes and efficiency.
• Handle client queries, ad-hoc tax/accounting projects, and other duties as required.

Requirements

Non-Negotiable Requirements

• Minimum 4+ years of Australian public practice tax experience - ESSENTIAL / NON-NEGOTIABLE.
• Strong experience in Australian Business Services & Tax.
• Able to handle accounting and tax work independently with minimal supervision.
• Experience with Xero, Xero Tax, Hubdoc, XPM, and QuickBooks/MYOB; SuiteFiles preferred.
• Confident using ATO portals and Australian tax systems.
• Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and problem-solving ability.
• Good written and spoken English communication skills.
• Strong time management and ability to meet deadlines.
