About Position:
We are seeking a customer-focused and proactive Application Support Engineer to provide production and application support for business-critical payment applications and enterprise systems. The ideal candidate will possess strong experience in customer support, production support, application troubleshooting, Linux administration, AWS cloud environments, and payment processing systems. The role involves monitoring applications, handling incidents, resolving production issues, ensuring system stability, and delivering exceptional customer support while working in a 24x7 support environment. You will collaborate with development, infrastructure, operations, and business teams to ensure seamless service delivery and customer satisfaction.

What You'll Do:
- Provide 24x7 application and production support for critical business applications and payment platforms.
- Respond to customer inquiries through phone, email, chat, and ticketing systems.
- Monitor application health, system performance, and service availability.
- Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve production incidents within defined SLAs.
- Log, track, and manage incidents, service requests, and problems using ticketing systems.
- Escalate critical issues to appropriate teams and follow through to resolution.
- Perform root cause analysis and support implementation of preventive measures.
- Support payment processing systems and investigate transaction-related issues.
- Monitor batch jobs, interfaces, APIs, and application integrations.
- Perform Linux-based troubleshooting and system support activities.
- Support cloud-hosted applications running on AWS environments.
- Collaborate with development, infrastructure, and DevOps teams for issue resolution.
- Maintain detailed records of customer interactions, incidents, and support activities.
- Ensure adherence to operational procedures, support processes, and quality standards.
- Communicate incident updates and resolution status to customers and stakeholders.
- Identify recurring issues and recommend process improvements and automation opportunities.
- Participate in release validation, deployment support, and post-production monitoring activities.
- Contribute to knowledge base documentation and operational runbooks.
- Participate in on-call support rotations and major incident management activities.
Expertise You'll Bring:
- 3-5 years of experience in Application Support, Production Support, or Technical Support roles.
- Strong experience supporting enterprise applications in production environments.
- Hands-on experience working in 24x7 support environments.
- Experience supporting payment applications, transaction processing systems, or financial platforms.
- Strong understanding of Incident Management, Problem Management, and Change Management processes.
- Hands-on experience with Linux administration and troubleshooting.
- Working knowledge of AWS cloud services and cloud-hosted applications.
- Experience monitoring application logs, system alerts, and application performance metrics.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities.
- Experience working with ticketing tools such as ServiceNow, Jira, Zendesk, or similar platforms.
- Understanding of APIs, web services, and application integration concepts.
- Experience supporting databases and performing basic SQL queries for troubleshooting.
- Strong knowledge of SLA management and operational support processes.
- Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools.
- Ability to perform root cause analysis and drive issue resolution.
- Strong customer handling and stakeholder management skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize issues effectively in high-pressure environments.
- Strong teamwork and cross-functional collaboration capabilities.
- Experience working with Agile and DevOps teams is preferred.
- Ability to maintain high customer satisfaction and service quality standards.
