About Position:
We are seeking a highly skilled Enterprise / Cloud Architect will lead the migration and cloud enablement of a large Java application to Google Cloud Platform (GCP). This role requires a strong background in enterprise application migration, stateful workloads, session management, DNS-based service discovery, Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE), networking, and high-availability cloud architecture.

What You'll Do:
- Architect and drive the migration of a large monolithic Java application to GCP while preserving existing functional and non-functional behaviors.
- Define the target-state GCP architecture, migration approach, and cloud enablement strategy.
- Design and manage stateful session and connection management across cloud instances and containers.
- Implement DNS-based service discovery to replace fixed-IP dependencies.
- Design DNS routing strategies to eliminate tight coupling with server IP addresses.
- Design and validate application connectivity across GCP services and GKE.
- Design GKE architecture considering scalability, resilience, availability, and stateful workload requirements.
- Validate application and session persistence during GCP instance restarts and pod restarts in GKE.
- Design and implement Valkey/Redis-based caching solutions, ensuring high availability and scalability.
- Collaborate closely with application, network, security, DevOps, and platform teams to resolve connectivity, latency, availability, and session-management challenges.
- Define architectural guardrails, patterns, and best practices for enterprise workloads on GCP.
- Design high-availability and failover strategies for business-critical applications.
- Review and validate architecture designs, proofs of concept (PoCs), migration plans, and implementation artifacts.
- Identify application dependencies, migration risks, technical constraints, and required cloud remediation.
- Experience leading architecture decisions across application, cloud, networking, security, and DevOps teams.
- Excellent Stakeholder Management, problem-solving, and technical leadership skills.
- Hands-on experience with GCP and Kubernetes.
- Strong understanding of stateful application and session lifecycle management.
- Experience with Valkey/Redis cache architecture and implementation.
- DNS-based service discovery and routing mechanisms.
- Strong GCP networking knowledge, including fixed-IP replacement strategies and load balancing.
- Availability and failover strategies.
- Understanding of application performance, scalability, resiliency, and availability requirements.
- Experience designing high-availability, low-latency transaction-processing systems.
- Understanding of Cloud Security, observability, monitoring, and operational readiness.
- Experience with legacy system modernization and cloud enablement.
- Deal Breaker Skill Kubernetes
Expertise You'll Bring:
- 12 to 15 years of experience in enterprise architecture, solution architecture, or cloud architecture.
- Proven experience architecting and migrating large enterprise applications to cloud platforms.
- Hands-on experience with GCP and Kubernetes.
- Proven experience designing stateful, scalable, and highly available systems.
- Hands-on or architecture-level experience with Valkey/Redis caching solutions.
- Strong background in legacy application modernization and cloud enablement.
