About the job:
We are looking for a motivated professional to join our Front Office Loan Syndications team, within the Corporate & Investment Banking Unit. In this role, you will participate in the origination, structuring, execution and distribution of syndicated loan transactions across domestic and international markets, supporting financing solutions for leading corporate clients.
You will work on high-profile transactions across Corporate, Infrastructure, Energy and Real Estate, collaborating with international banks, institutional investors, financial and legal advisors, while contributing to the successful execution of complex financing transactions.
Responsibilities:
- Participate in the origination, structuring and execution of syndicated loan transactions from initial mandate through to financial close.
- Structure transactions and define key commercial terms and conditions, including pricing, tenor, security packages and covenant protections.
- Prepare key transaction documentation, including Information Memoranda, Term Sheets, NDAs, Mandates and finance documentation.
- Support lender outreach, syndication strategy, bookbuilding activities and communication with participating banks and investors.
- Coordinate internal stakeholders (Relationship Management, Credit Risk, Legal, Operations and other business units) and external advisors throughout the transaction lifecycle.
- Support the credit approval process by preparing transaction analyses, internal memoranda and approval materials.
- Monitor transaction pipelines, execution progress and fee generation, ensuring timely delivery of milestones and reporting.
- Contribute to ESG-linked and sustainable finance transactions, ensuring alignment with applicable market standards and best practices.
- Stay informed on developments in syndicated lending markets, financing structures and industry trends to support business growth and client service.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Banking or a related discipline.
- A Master's degree or relevant professional qualification will be considered an asset.
- At least 3 years of relevant experience in Loan Syndications or related areas such as Corporate Banking, Structured Finance, Credit & Risk, Leveraged Finance or Loan Administration.
- Good understanding of syndicated lending structures and corporate banking products.
- Strong analytical and financial modelling skills will be considered an asset.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Advanced MS Office skills, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
- Ability to manage multiple transactions simultaneously in a demanding and fast-paced environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build trusted relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Excellent organizational and project coordination skills, with the ability to manage multiple transactions and competing deadlines.
- Proactive mindset with a high level of ownership and accountability.
