Hi, Polcode here!
We’re a global, people-first software house matching ambitious developers with challenging projects. Our team of almost 100 professionals helps build and improve digital businesses, software platforms, eCommerce stores, websites, apps, and everything in between. And they’re good at it.
We're currently looking for a Mid/Senior UX/UI Designer with Full-Stack Development Skills to join a long-term project for a US-based client that has been delivering digital marketing solutions for major businesses for over 20 years.
You'll contribute to two evolving digital products: a co-op advertising management platform that simplifies campaign management, settlements, and reporting, and equipment marketing applications that help manufacturers showcase their products and generate qualified sales leads.
This is a design-first role with hands-on development responsibilities. We're looking for someone who genuinely enjoys both designing user experiences and bringing them to life through code - with UX/UI design taking priority.
Here's how your time will be split:
45% UX/UI Design - creating mockups, planning features, and designing user experiences in Figma.
20% Frontend Development - implementing interfaces using a modern frontend framework (React + TypeScript preferred).
35% Backend Development - working with Python, REST APIs, and scripts to support product functionality.
Design is a substantial part of this role, not just a quick step before coding. One of the products still needs its UI mockups developed, while design work has already played a major role in the evolution of the other.
You'll help shape the user experience of both platforms and turn your designs into working features, collaborating directly with the client's CTO and developers in a small, international team.
Responsibilities
Design intuitive UX/UI experiences for two evolving digital marketing platforms.
Create mockups, wireframes, and interface designs in Figma, including planning new features before development begins.
Translate business requirements and complex workflows into practical, user-friendly interfaces.
Design new experiences and improve existing ones, focusing on usability and visual consistency.
Turn your designs into functional frontend features using a modern JavaScript framework.
Develop and maintain backend functionality using Python, including REST APIs and scripts.
Work on both existing functionalities and new solutions as the products evolve.
Collaborate directly with the client's CTO and developers, taking ownership of your work from initial concepts through implementation.
Requirements
From Figma to working features - stay involved beyond the design stage and help implement the experiences you create.
Real influence on product direction - contribute to shaping interfaces and functionalities for two evolving digital platforms.
Long-term cooperation - work on continuous product development rather than a one-off design assignment.
Variety in your daily work - balance creative design challenges with frontend and Python backend development.
Direct collaboration with decision-makers - work closely with the US client's CTO in a small, focused team.
Modern technology environment - the products use Python, React, TypeScript, PostgreSQL, and AWS.
US collaboration without evening shifts - some overlap with the US team is needed, but availability until approximately 4-5 PM Polish time is sufficient.
Benefits
Mid-level or higher commercial experience in UX/UI or Product Design, particularly for web applications.
Strong, demonstrable UX/UI design skills backed by a solid portfolio - this is our top priority.
Very good command of Figma, including creating mockups, wireframes, prototypes, and detailed UI designs.
Practical commercial experience with Python, including REST API development and scripting.
Hands-on experience with a modern frontend framework (preferably React + TypeScript). Experience with another framework is absolutely fine.
Ability to translate your own designs into working interfaces and contribute to backend implementation.
A genuine interest in combining design and coding, with the understanding that UX/UI work is a core part of the role, not a side responsibility.
Ability to work independently, solve problems, and take responsibility for your solutions.
Very good English for regular communication with a US-based client.
Availability for full-time cooperation (40 hours per week), including partial overlap with the US team (until approximately 4-5 PM Polish time).
