About the Role

• We are seeking an experienced Mold Maintenance Technician with strong knowledge of mold and hot runner systems on Husky injection molding equipment.
• The successful candidate will be responsible for preventive and corrective maintenance of molds, hot runner systems, and related tooling to ensure maximum production efficiency, product quality, and equipment reliability.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and breakdown maintenance on injection molds and hot runner systems.
• Maintain and troubleshoot hot runner components including manifolds, nozzles, heater bands, thermocouples, valve gate systems, temperature controllers, wiring, and connectors.
• Diagnose and repair heating imbalance, leakage, short circuits, gate blockage, and temperature control issues.
• Perform mold disassembly, inspection, cleaning, repair, polishing, and reassembly.
• Conduct resistance and continuity testing for heaters and thermocouples.
• Support mold installation, startup, sampling, and process troubleshooting on Husky injection molding machines.
• Monitor mold cooling circuits, hydraulic systems, and pneumatic functions.
• Replace worn mold components such as ejector pins, sliders, inserts, O-rings, seals, and springs.
• Read mold drawings, hot runner electrical schematics, and maintenance manuals.
• Ensure molds meet quality and dimensional standards before release to production.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, spare parts inventory, and repair history.
• Coordinate with production, process, and quality teams to reduce downtime and improve mold performance.
• Follow all safety procedures, lockout/tagout (LOTO), and 5S standards.
• Hands-on experience with Husky injection molding machines and hot runner systems.
• Ability to use multimeters and testing instruments for heaters and thermocouples

Qualifications & Requirements

• B.Tech/E.Eng./HND/OND in Mechanical Engineering or Mechatronics
• 3-5 years of experience in mold maintenance, mold making, or injection molding operations.
• Strong knowledge of injection molds, mold components, and tooling systems.
• Ability to assemble, disassemble, repair, and maintain molds.
• Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments (vernier calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, etc.).
• Knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, and cooling systems used in molds.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Experience in preventive and corrective maintenance.
• Troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills.
• Knowledge of workplace safety procedures and standards.
• Physical ability to handle mold components, operate maintenance tools, and work in a manufacturing environment.
