For our parent company, Proximus Group, an international telecommunication company, we are looking for a proactive individual to fill in the following position: Medior Full Stack Developer, who will be working on developing and maintaining our new web shop application. 

• You support the design and development of high-quality backend applications, following best practices to ensure high availability, scalability, and resilience.  
• You develop and maintain high-quality, well-documented RESTful APIs using Node.js and NestJS.  
• You write unit and integration tests and develop automation tools for daily tasks.  
• You work closely with frontend developers to design and develop functional and performant APIs.  
• You collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize product features.  
• You troubleshoot and debug applications to ensure high uptime and good performance.  
• You challenge ideas and opinions to avoid pitfalls and unnecessarily complex or inefficient solutions.  
• You create and maintain technical documentation for code changes and updates.  
• You stay up to date with emerging trends and technologies and suggest new approaches to improve efficiency and productivity.  
• You participate in code reviews to maintain code quality and identify opportunities for improvement.  
• You participate in and contribute to the integration testing of developed features.  

• You have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. 
• You have 2 to 5 years of professional experience in backend development using Node.js / Next.js (experience with Java is considered a plus), as well as frontend web development. 
• You have 2 to 3+ years of experience working with SQL and non-SQL databases such as MySQL, Oracle, and Couchbase, and with web development using Angular. 
• You have experience building performant RESTful APIs using JavaScript and/or TypeScript (experience with GraphQL is considered a plus). 
• You have experience with building and maintaining Java µservices (considered a plus). 
• You have experience using, building, and maintaining a standalone component library (considered a plus). 
• You are able to create effective documentation and write unit, integration, and API tests. 
• You possess strong problem-solving skills and are able to work both independently and collaboratively. 
• You are a team player with excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills. 
• You are fluent in English (mandatory).
