ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for an Assistant Manager, Legal to provide legal support and advice across the business. You will review and negotiate contracts, advise on legal and regulatory matters, support dispute and litigation management, and work closely with stakeholders to ensure business activities comply with legal requirements. This role is ideal for a proactive legal professional who enjoys working in a dynamic environment and partnering with the business to deliver practical legal solutions.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Review and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements, including services agreements, technology agreements, non-disclosure agreements, investment agreements, collaboration agreements and intra-group arrangements.
- Review and advise on legal documents, policy documents, terms and conditions, privacy notices and other customer-facing materials.
- Manage litigation, disputes, investigations and pre-litigation matters, including coordinating with and managing external legal counsel where required.
- Conduct legal research and keep stakeholders informed of relevant legal and regulatory developments.
- Provide legal advice and practical solutions to business units and stakeholders on legal and contractual matters.
- Undertake any other legal and related duties as may be assigned from time to time.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor of Laws (LLB) and admission to the Malaysian Bar and/or possession of CLP.
- PQE- 1 to 3 years for Executive or 3 to 5 years for Assistant Manager.
- Experience in the insurance and/or financial services industry would be an advantage.
- Good drafting, analytical and communication skills.
- Articulate Agile & Adaptable
